When Can I Go Home After Surgery?

No one likes being in a hospital for too long, but thankfully with liposuction, inpatient time is pretty minimal, if even necessary at all. Depending on the intensity of your individual procedure, you may be able to go home that day and avoid staying overnight. To find out if an overnight stay is necessary for your surgery, be sure and ask Dr. Craig during your initial screening.

When Can I Return To Work?

At Accent, we know you’re busy. If your lifestyle is fast-paced, you’re in luck. While individual results vary, most patients who are in good overall health may be able to return to work within a few days, assuming the work is not too physically strenuous. More extensive surgeries may require more downtime, depending on where the procedure is taking place and how much fat is removed.

How Soon Can I Exercise After Liposuction?

Later in your recovery, a good diet and enough exercise can help maintain long-lasting results post surgery. But that doesn’t mean that you can exercise right away. In fact, we recommend avoiding strenuous activity for the first week or two, depending on the invasiveness of your surgery. You will be given a timeframe for when you can start exercising again before your surgery and a more specific timeframe during your follow-up appointments.
