Learn More About TCA Peel
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are a type of chemical peel designed to smooth the skin’s surface by removing the top layer of dead skin cells. This cosmetic procedure uses acids to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin.
Benefits of TCA peels may include:
- ∙Minimizing blemishes
- ∙Reducing the appearance of wrinkles
- ∙Evening skin tone Assisting in the removal of precancerous growths
- ∙Softening acne scars
- ∙Preventing and controlling acne
The effects of TCA peels, like all chemical peels, are temporary. Multiple treatments may be needed to achieve desired results, and TCA peels can be combined with other therapies for enhanced effects. Recovery time for TCA peels typically lasts about 1 to 2 weeks.
