Volux® XC

Like other members of the Juvederm® family, Volux® is an injectable treatment that adds facial volume. These fillers use hyaluronic acid, a compound you may be familiar with from your skincare routine. Hyaluronic acid attracts moisture into the skin and holds it there, enhancing hydration and plumping the skin.

Juvederm® Volux® is the first dermal filler FDA-approved for the jawline and chin. While providers have used other fillers for this purpose, none of them have the ideal balance of firmness and resilience needed in this challenging area. The cross-linked chains of hyaluronic acid in Volux® let it give you lasting shape and firmness in your chin or jaw.

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are among the safest and most widely used aesthetic treatments. Good candidates for Volux® want to improve the shape or contour of their chin or jawline. Candidates should have reasonable expectations and achievable goals.

You should not have injections in any area of your face with an active skin condition, injury, or infection. People with certain medical conditions may not be good candidates for dermal fillers. They are also not recommended if you are pregnant.

When you arrive for your appointment, Dr. Craig will escort you to one of our pleasant, private rooms to perform your treatment. The average Volux® treatment takes 15 to 20 minutes. Most Juvederm® fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing anesthetic that makes injections much more comfortable. You may have filler in other areas during the same appointment if you prefer.

Juvederm® Volux® results are visible almost immediately after treatment. Maximum results evolve over the first few days to a week. You will notice that your jawline or chin looks firmer and more sculpted, giving your lower face the shape and structure you have always wanted. Patients seeking improved volume in other areas, such as the cheeks or lips, may also be suitable for Juvederm® Voluma® XC or Juvederm® Volbella® XC.

Volux® can last up to a year for most people. Your injector’s skill and experience significantly affect how your results look and how long they last, which is why Dr. Craig performs these injections himself.

You can return to your usual activities without downtime after your Volux® appointment. Juvederm® fillers are often referred to as lunchtime treatments because you can have them on your lunch break and return to work without anyone noticing anything. Some people experience minor redness or swelling that can last up to a few days.
